Professional Mowing

One of the keys to a perfect lawn is properly cut grass.

Complete mowing service includes mowing, trimming and blowing off sidewalks and driveways. As our client you have the choice of having your clippings discharged, mulched or bagged.

We highly recommend discharging or mulching since putting the clippings back into the lawn actually provides most of the nutrients your lawn needs to stay healthy. Between our commercial equipment and weekly service you will generally not be able to tell the difference between a discharged, mulched or bagged lawn.

The most important factors to properly cut grass are:
Sharp Blades and Cutting Height.

Sharp blades cut grass like a pair of scissors while a dull blade tends to rip the grass blade, ripping will cause stress to your lawn, allowing weeds and disease to creep into your lawn. Our technicians sharpen blades everyday so you always have a perfect cut.

Mowing at the proper Cutting Height will help your lawn crowd out weeds and inhibit new ones from growing. Additionally, your lawn will become thicker over time and develop a deeper root system which is drought resistant.

**Your watering schedule is also very important. We can advise you on this.**

Irrigation

A properly watered lawn can provide you with a lush green grass during the entire growing season, and provide you with a lawn that looks and feels like your own private oasis.

Maintenance Services

There are numerous benefits to watering that we can not see as well. A properly watered lawn will develop a deep root system that not only keeps the grass green but also keeps it healthy in dry conditions. Additionally a thick healthy lawn will crowd out weeds and help prevent them from establishing themselves on your property.

Setting your system to the correct frequency is very important and can vary greatly in our area depending on soil type, so allow our Irrigation Specialists set it up for you.

Dethatcher

Dethatching

Thatch is composed of debris, dead grass, clippings and other types of build-up that accumulate over time. A small amount thatch is actually good for the lawn because it provides natural fertilizer as it decomposes. However, to much thatch is a problem because it keeps water and nutrients from reaching the soil and the grass roots. By removing thatch (Dethatching) we allow water and nutrients to feed the grass and it creates room for new grass to come in.

Spring and Fall Clean up

Spring Clean up Service
Spring clean-up service consists of removing all leaves, branches, and all other debris that have accumulated over the course of the winter on your property. We also haul the debris off of your property unless you have a place to dispose of it such as a compost. Many of our customers choose to have Dethatching or Aeration completed at this time as well.

Fall Clean up Service
Fall in Minnesota brings with it some very beautiful scenery with the changing leaves and cool temperatures. However, those leaves become annoying when they start to fall to the ground and cover your lawn. Fall Clean-up service is much like Spring Clean-up, we remove all leaves, branches and other debris from your yard and haul it all away unless you have a place to dispose of it such as a compost.

In the spring and fall the proper clean up and removal of fallen leaves is necessary to ensure adequate sunlight exposure to keep your grass and plants healthy.

Aeration

Lawn Aeration is the process of mechanically removing small plugs of thatch and soil from the lawn to improve exchange of necessary nutrients (air, water, fertilizer). In other words, increasing your lawns ability to breathe and absorb the nutrients it needs to maintain its health. The best time to aerate your lawn is in the early spring or late summer/early fall.
